Thorpe Park have been releasing images of their latest Sparkle Project updates to their Passholders Facebook group. The Sparkle Project is a multi-year project, set to clean up the park through the use of paint jobs, rethemes, decluttering & more. It’s in the name – they’re giving the park some zazz, they’re making it sparkle! ✨

9th January 2024: Kicking off the new year to a great start with updates on the one and only Colossus. 🌀

Firstly Thorpe Park are now in the process of repairing and repainting rockwork around the tunnel . They have stated the colours in the photo listed above are just ‘base layers “and they will ‘apply scenic effects.” 🌻

New fiberglass panels are also now being installed inside this tunnel to “bring back to the 2002 heyday”. This addition is an iconic feature of Colossus and were so delighted that they have implemented it back into the design. 😍

Finally from todays Sparkle update, work has began at the Colossus queue line entrance whilst they begin to create there new entrance portal. 🤩
