September has been a busy month so far on the island! 🏝️

From preparation for this year’s Fright Nights 👻, an early Fright Nights Freestyle teaser, to new merchandise and the return of beloved effects, we’ve got a lot of exciting updates to cover in this feature!

With Winter slowly approaching, Thorpe Park have launched a brand new range of snow globes – featuring Stealth, The Swarm, Saw & Hyperia! These are available at £12 (£9.60 with MAP discount) and would make the perfect gift for any Thorpe Park superfan!

Fancy yourself a bargain? At the time of writing, there are several deals available across the resorts shops – Over at Megastore, mugs are currently 2 for £12 or 3 for £16 (excluding discounts) and selected ride bottles are £5 (excluding discounts). Over at Hyporium, a Hyperia crossbody bag & two straps are currently £15 (£12 saving), a Hyperia bear & wings are £25 (£10 saving) and spend £10 to get free Hyperia wings (£9 saving) – T&Cs apply!

It’s not only the shops with deals this September – over at Inferno’s Pizza Pasta there’s a sizzling deal: get two unlimited buffets for £35 if you dine after 2PM (excluding offers & discounts).

Who doesn’t love improvements? Thorpe Park have made some great improvements so far this September!

Over at Treasure Island (island behind Swarm), a temporary phone mast has been installed – this will significantly boost signal across the park and will definately be a welcome addition across the busy period of Fright Nights. On Swarm Island, several of the effects and TV screens have been repaired, adding back an amazing atmosphere to the area.

Over at Rumba Rapids, winter maintenance has begun. In regards to rumours of Rumba’s potential closure for the 2026 season, the park have updated the queue time with “Returning for 2026”. Over by the wave maker, we spotted a motor removed in storage – could Rumba be receiving new parts this closed season?

By Megastore, work is underway to repair loose paving tiles, which will hopefully be complete before Fright Nights.

At Hyperia, Fearless Girls are wanted! A temporary Women’s Rugby advertisement has appeared to inspire a new generation of bold, brilliant girls to give rugby a try.

Europe’s top theme park scare event is nearly upon us! Construction is ramping up across the island, with many exciting changes and additions happening!

Over at Purgatory Town, black tarp has appeared over by the Planet Doughnut catering van, could it be for the new scare zone or something else? 👀

At Dead Beat, we’ve spotted an employee jetwashing the queueline, sprucing up the area ready for Fright Nights. Over by the entrance, the queue time board has been switched on and is currently testing.

We’re expecting Mawkin Meadow to have a layout change this season – we’ve spotted the barn has been moved towards the end of the zone, and the zone seems more of a maze than ever!

Over at Creature Campus, Darkside are busy rigging up lighting structures and testing brand new lighting. We’ve spotted some great fixtures and loads of LEDs (📸: Cara Bennyworth), so can guarantee Shock to the System will look amazing!

At Lucifer’s Lair, the stage has now been fully constructed. Lucifer’s stage is awaiting construction and is currently situated by Camden Junction ready to go up.

We’ve spotted no new updates to Stitches and Trailers, but noticed green barrels lying outside the entrance to Survival Games – Could these be the Sirex serum? 👀

Can’t wait to get your Fright Nights fix? Thorpe Park have unveiled ‘Lucifer’s Liquid Lava Zero’ as a Fright Nights teaser on several Freestyle machines across the resort. A second flavour has been hinted at joining Liquid Lava Zero next month – it’s great to see Thorpe offering a range of themed Freestyle drinks and we’d love to see more next season!
