Get There Early!
Remember the Park is open from 10am every-day throughout the season, but be sure to check online the specific opening hours for the date of your visit. Starting early is the best way to ensure you get everything done, so consider arriving at the car park for around 9:30am to give you plenty of time to get ready before the gates open.
Start from the Back
When those gates open, head to the back of the Park as most guests will start their day with rides and attractions at the front. Why not face your fears on SAW – The Ride, feel the heat on Nemesis Inferno, or experience the world’s first 10-looping coaster, Colossus! These rides are sure to start your day right, and you can probably get all three of these done before midday!
Where and When to Eat
Picking when to eat can make or break your day, we suggest eating before 12:30pm or after 2pm as between these times are busiest for families and other guests to eat. Thorpe Park offer a great selection of food and drink outlets so there’s plenty of choice to eat. Why not check-out Matt’s Food Review for honest reviews on many of the options around the Park to make sure you can get the best value, and the best food!Â
Snacks & Sweets
Feeling peckish during the day, or just craving a sweet treat? There’s loads of places to satisfy your sweet tooth. Donuts are a must for any day out to Thorpe Park and with the option of classic, suggary donuts, or fun, hand-made donughts from Donught Time! Donuts not your thing? How about a scoop of Ben & Jerry’s, tub of candy floss, or a bubble tea?!
Shows
Why not sit back and enjoy a screening of Ready Player One 4D Experience at the Sunset Cinema in Big Easy Boulevard! This high-paced action film is sure to bring even more fun to your day with smoke, water, and physical effects. If you are visiting during Mardi Gras, Oktoberfest, or FRIGHT NIGHTS, be sure to check out the countless shows. To find out more visit each of our Event pages.Â
Shops
Take a memory of your trip to Thorpe Park home with you by purchasing a souvenir from one of the shops. Whether you want a ride-themed bear, cushion for your sofa, new stylish hoodie, or another mug for your endless collection in your kitchen cupboards. There’s so much on offer in the many shops, and there’s always something new. Make sure you stay tuned to Thorpe Guide for any new or exclusive updates.Â
Flat Rides & Other Rides
With all the fun of Thorpe Park’s world-class rollercoasters, don’t forget to get those all important rides on many of the flat rides on offer including Samurai, Rush, Vortex, Quantum and more! Flat rides not your thing? How about a soaking on Tidal Wave, a bash on Big Easy Bumpers, or take the last train on Ghost Train.
Lockers
If you’ve got a load of bags or just want to take the weight off your shoulders, Thorpe Park have a number of lockers around the Park where you can store your belongings. These can be found in the Lower Dome and in front of the Megastore and are charged at £5 for a medium-sized locker or £10 for a large locker, both with unlimited access all-day.
Freestyle Cups
A day at Thorpe Park can be thirsty work, we recommend buying a Coco-Cola Freestyle cup for UNLIMITED refils throughout your day. Not only is this a great option to save money when buying many individual bottled drinks, but also is a great souvenir to remeber your day (especially with themed cups for events such as FRIGHT NIGHTS!). Each vessel costs £15.
Download the App!
Finally, make sure you download the official Thorpe Park app from your app store, where you can get a map of the park with directions to all attractions, facilities, and food outlets, plus view all queue times from across the park. You can also store all your park tickets in one place, and even check ride availability, plus so much more!Â
