Thorpe Park have been releasing images of their latest Sparkle Project updates to their Passholders Facebook group. The Sparkle Project is a multi-year project, set to clean up the park through the use of paint jobs, rethemes, decluttering & more. It’s in the name – they’re giving the park some zazz, they’re making it sparkle! ✨

15th December 2023: Today’s update includes an update on Colossus’s repaint, progress of the new Dodgems car designs and work begins on the new area Big Easy Boulevard. Plus a mini sparkle update at the end from the 18th December 2023. 🚗

Firstly we can see the unfinished progress on 1 out of the 3 different coloured Dodgems cars. It is confirmed there will be a total of 21 cars within the ride. 🚗

Work continues on the new area Big Easy Boulevard including the removal of the original Angry Birds Land theming, signage and queue areas. 👀

The Colossus repaint continues as seen on the cobra roll element of the ride in the photo above. We cannot wait to visit Colossus after the closed season and have a ride on the improved worlds first 10 looping coaster. 🎨

Finally from the mini Sparkle Project Update on the 18th we can see the removal off the old bridge over Tidal Wave as we now await the new bridge that is taking its place. 🌉
