Passholder Day Announced
Guess who’s back… Annual Passholder days! This year’s Annual Passholder Day will be held on Sunday 16th March, and the gates will open from 11am until 7pm.
For those that aren’t aware, these days are for all Merlin & Thorpe Park Annual Pass holders and acts as a ‘preview day’ before the park opens to the public for the year. Tickets will be released in two waves, and Ride Access Pass reservations will be available with each wave. Wave 1 of tickets will be released on Thursday 27th February at 12pm, and Wave 2 will be released the following day, Friday 28th February, at 1pm.
For those that are unable to attend this year’s pass holder day, we’ll be posting live updates all day to thorpeguide.co.uk/live. Not got an annual pass yet? There’s still time – get yours now!
Landscaping
Who doesn’t love a scenic park? We love what the landscaping team at Thorpe do to ensure the park looks fabulous every season, and believe they deserve more recognition for their hard work.
Exciting landscaping projects are happening around the resort ready for the 2025 season.
Over at Amity, the hedge by Tidal Wave’s RAP entrance has been cut back, allowing a brand new view of The Swarm, perfect for those photo opportunities! The hedge by Amity Freestyle has also been cut creating an even better view of Nemesis Inferno and Detonator.
In Lost City, the planter by Vortex has seen an update, with a new tree and grass, adding some new colour to the area.

Speculation behind Swarm
Those eagle-eyed that have been down Monks Walk will have spotted interesting work happening on the island behind Swarm. Several diggers and vehicles have been spotted on-site and driving down service roads, clearing away a small area of the land. We believe this could be a temporary storage for parts from Slammer and not related to future development of the island.

Slammer
As we reported in our January feature, Slammer was on it’s way out after remaining SBNO (Standing but not operating) since 2017. We’re sad to report that the attraction is no longer visible from the Monks Walk footpath and has likely been fully removed. Expect a very different view walking towards Hyperia this season!
New information revealed
As we step into 2025, Thorpe Park have begun updating their website with new information ahead of the 2025 season.
Fastrack has seen the increase of the C0asters fastrack package to £35pp, and Ultimate fastrack risen to £125. A surprising move is the reduction of the Thrills package, from £20 to £10, allowing the chance to one-shot a selection of 5 rides for even cheaper.
A brand new fastrack package for this year is Ultimate+, seeing an additional £50 from the Ultimate package. Ultimate+ includes all the previous perks of Ultimate, plus the addition of unlimited rides on Hyperia. This package is strictly limited, and we highly recommend grabbing it fast ahead of your visit!
Over on the ‘Eating with us’ Short Breaks page, Thorpe Park have revealed they are cooking up an exciting new breakfast and dinner menu for 2025 at Vibes Bar & Kitchen. We’re looking forwards to trying out the new dinner menu, and expect an food review of some of the new offerings coming soon.
Other exciting changes
Over at Hyperia, speculation continues on a mysterious wooden crate outside of the Hyperia maintenance shed. The previous ‘Backwards F’ writing, creating speculation of a possible backwards facing row, has now dissapeared. The crate has since been opened and turned round, with the addition of ? on the box. We believe the ‘Backwards F’ writing to be joke created by the Engineering team for a crate containing spare part, not the brand-new back piece recently added, as the crate was opened after.
An even more interesting development over at the Hyperia site is the potential addition of a front row queue. Ride Comparisons recently spotted possible indications of this happening in his visit to Monks Walk. We’ll find out whether this is the case when the park opens next month, but we’d love to see it happen!
Over at Rumba Rapids, Dominic Gardner has spotted brand new bumpers on the base of the boats by the Nemesis Inferno service gate, ready for the boats to be lifted into the attraction, and testing to begin.

Testing begins
One of the biggest signs the season is fast approaching is when the rides & attractions begin testing again. A necessary procedure to ensure each attraction is ready for riders ahead of opening day on the 28th March.
Hyperia, The Swarm and Nemesis Inferno have been seen testing as spotted by Theme Park Thrills. It won’t be long until we can get back on all the thrilling attractions the park has to offer!
Not long to go now, who’s excited to get back to the UK’s Most Thrilling Theme Park! Thorpe Park reopens for 2025 on Friday 28th March and Ride Access Pass slots are going fast for opening day, so make sure to book your tickets now from just £29pp. We’ll see you again with another feature soon! 👋
