Sparkle Project 26.01.24
Thorpe Park have been releasing images of their latest Sparkle Project updates to their Passholders Facebook group. The Sparkle Project is a multi-year project, set to clean up the park through the use of paint jobs, rethemes, decluttering & more. It’s in the name – they’re giving the park some zazz, they’re making it sparkle! ✨
26th January 2024: Today’s update includes Rush, Colossus, Stealth, Tidal Wave and landscaping updates. 🌵
The seats and foot platforms on Rush have had a repaint. Plus, brand new lap restraints are being installed across all seats. Rush is going to stand out (…even more) this season! 💨
Inside the Colossus ride station, theming is being repaired and repainted. Work has began on both the interior & exterior of the shop, so your way off of Colossus will now look as good as the rest of the area! 😍
Stealth’s station is almost complete, with a WWTP megaphone starting to be painted. New graphics have also been insalled on the station and ride photo kiosk. And after all these years, the sign on the entrance of the ride queue line is FINALLY changing from 2.3 seconds to 1.8 seconds! 🥳
Tidal Wave’s lagoon has been drained and cleaned ready for a full repaint. Definitely a positive change for Tidal Wave, as it wasn’t looking too sparkly… as you can see. 😅
Finally from todays update, there are all sorts of landscaping updates – from new turf being layed in Amity, to repairs to the Nemesis Inferno queuing area, we’re confident that this will tidy up the park! 🧹
