Thorpe Park have submitted plans to remove The Slammer after 7 years of being SBNO.

SBNO – Standing but not operating

Located opposite Hyperia, Slammer has stood standing but not operating since 2017. It’s great to see that the park are finally ready to remove the ride. From 2021-2024, parts of Slammer’s queue-line has been used for two different attractions: Black Mirror Labyrinth (2021-2023) & Deadbeat (FRIGHT NIGHTS 2024).

Once the ride has been removed, there will be a massive empty plot of land – perfect for a new ride in the future! If these plans are approved, we could see the ride removed as early as February 2025. There are currently no ideas or hints as to what could replace Slammer, but we’ll update if any further details come to light.
