5th Oct ’22: Today we saw the Permission become granted to Project Exodus being built after months of back and forward talk with the council.

6th Jan ’23: We began to see the destruction of ‘Old Town’ starting with the Curly Fries unit that was an iconic station for food and beverages around the park.

10th Jan ’23: Demolition of the loving Fright Nights attraction ‘Creek Freak Massacre’ and old Loggers Leap station began as we prep for the start of the construction.

28th Feb ’23: The drop of an old classic ‘Loggers Leap’ is being destroyed to clear the area where the final break run of the ride will be placed.

29th June ’23: New ground pins have arrived on the Exodus site in preparation for the supports of the ride.

17th July ’23: Project Exodus’s White Supports have arrived at the back of Swarm Island to later be transported onto the Exodus site. This is the colour scheme of the upper sections of Project Exodus.

15th Aug ’23: Following the White Supports arriving at the back of Swarm Island we can now see the new Gold Supports. This is the colour scheme of the lower sections of Project Exodus.

28th Sep ’23: The first pieces of Project Exodus’s track has arrived on site in both white and gold colours which is a HUGE milestone reached for the park and the followers at home.

8th Sep 23: On the same day as the track arrival it was also announced that the company Mack Rides are manufacturer for Project Exodus which was correctly speculated by the public.

5th Oct ’23: Today the supports that arrived on the back of Swarm Island has been transported over to the Project Exodus site and will begin to be put up over the next week.

5th Oct ’23: At the FRIGHT NIGHTS 2023 press event, the name and logo of the UK’s Tallest and Fastest rollercoaster, ‘Hyperia’, as well as its gold winged logo was released.

9th Oct ’23: The biggest milestone of the park so far is now, today we see the very first time the supports have been placed ready to support the track when it’s put in to place. Project Exodus has gone vertical.

10th Oct ’23: Today, more supports have been placed in position for a section of the ride Hyperia as well as some of the track had been moved onto the Hyperia construction site.

11th Oct ’23: A day later, we can see the first bit of Hyperia track being placed in position at the base of the second highest element of the ride.

23rd Oct ’23: Today the framework for the maintenance building has started. This is where the trains will be stored and any maintenance features will be completed.

28th Oct ’23: The majority of the second tallest element of the ride has been completed, all that is left for this section connecting the 2 bits of track.

19th Nov ’23: The brake run element of the ride is no fully in place, this is located where the drop of an old classic ride Loggers Leap was placed.

29th Nov ’23: The splashdown element of Hyperia has now been installed into place. The white support structure next to the station has had its first white support installed.

20th Dec ’23: Today, we had an insight into various theming pieces such as ride queue line fences and retail framework.

17th Jan ’24: Big day today as Hyperia’s non-inverted element was completed.

30th Jan ’24: Today we got an insight into the Hyperia’s station which contains the frame work as well as part of the operator box that controls the ride.

15th Feb ’24: The bottom of Hyperia’s lift hill has arrived on site which will soon reach heights of 236ft. The lift hill is due to go vertical over the next few days.

17th Feb ’24: More of Hyperia’s lift hill has been completed, this is the beginning of the end of the construction. All that’s left to complete is reaching the 236ft Lift hill as well as the first drop.

22nd Feb ’24: Today just over half of Hyperia’s lift hill has been completed. A new white crane will arrive on park to reach the taller elements of the ride.

25th Feb ’24: The crest of Hyperia’s lift hill has arrived on site today waiting to be sat 236ft in the air.

28th Feb ’24: The HUGE crane as mentioned earlier has arrived on site waiting for the right wind environments to lift the remaining pieces of track.

1st March ’24: Hyperia’s first drop is now completed. We are now finally waiting for the top of the lift hill to be completed which will finish the construction of the coaster. All that is left after that is theming, groundwork, Train arrivals and Testing.

6th March ’24: Today marks the peak of Hyperia’s height with the final piece of track rising into place containing the Thorpe Park logo and Union Jack Flag. Following this, there were plenty of spectators at Monks Walk to capture the moment. All that’s left now is landscaping, light theming & ride testing before the ride’s opening in Spring.

27th March ’24: At 3pm today Thorpe Park officially announced the opening day set for Hyperia to become ridable to the public. We expect this day to be very busy so keep this in mind when turning up to the resort.

8th April ’24: After the previous announcement made by Thorpe Park, work has carried on installing various theming pieces and artwork to the station and added the chain lift the the 236ft climb element.

12th April ’24: Another HUGE announcement was made by the park regarding the Hyperia trains that will take us around the ride. We got to see what the trains look like, confirmation of the ride having just a lap bar to keep you in place and the official colour scheme the trains are painted.

13th April ’24: After the announcement given by the park, we have seen them transfer from the maintenance shed over to its station home. This was the first time the public had the chance to see the trains in person if they were lucky enough to be in the park.

16th April ’24: Today has been an emotional rollercoaster as we have witnessed the first ever test run of Hyperia. Although it took a while for the train to get up the lift hill and some elements looked slow, This has all been confirmed that it is normal and was due to the engineers monitoring the train as it ascended.
Keep an eye out on your next visit and you may be able to see this for yourself, Its not very hard to miss.

25th April ’24: Hyperia’s Second train has arrived on site and been put together with the park announcing it will debut its testing soon. Alongside this we can see more progress with the Queue line is taking place confirming a Single rider, Fastrack, Step-Free Access and Ride Access Pass.

1st May 24: Today Thorpe Park have released images of the fabrication of the Hyperia portal in the new name for the land that we now know to be ‘Fearless Valley’. We are loving the new name for the land, and look forward to hearing more about what else we can expect from the land of Fearless! Also in this update, the Park have confirmed that the splashdown element is complete and ready to test.

8th May 24: More testing continues in preparation for opening day on the 24th May 2024! This also includes Mack engineers riding Hyperia as part of the testing necessities.

13th May 24: Today we can see the queue line fences come to life outside the Hyperia station and around Fearless Valley. We are assuming there will be external fences for the opening of Hyperia as were sure it will be a very popular attraction!

24th May 24: Hyperia Opens its doors to the public for the first ever time! With thousands in attendance many people waited hours to ride Hyperia which included an opening ceremony, plane flyover and frequent shows outside Hyperia. Such an amazing atmosphere and a once in a lifetime experiance for all.
